ClearMind provides awareness campaigns via educational resources to schools, the general public, communities and workplaces. Our mission is to impact as many people in a positive way and educate people on solutions to improve mental wellbeing.
The more we talk, the more we work collectively to helping end the stigma surrounding mental health. We can all play our part in helping to end the stigma that surrounds mental health issues by reaching out and talking openly about our own feelings and being open minded to listening to others too.
We aim to directly tackle mental health stigma in every part of life, so it's extremely important that we reach communities throughout the U.K, Scotland and Ireland. We endeavour to achieve this with the a huge collective effort from businesses and communities that would like to make a difference where they can.
A friend, family member or colleague going distant and withdrawn could be a sign of suffering from poor mental health. A friend in need is a friend indeed as we know, so we encourage you to make an effort and text or call to check in with friends and family if you notice any of the signs.
Kindness Always Matters
Kindness to others can have a massive positive impact on other peoples lives. Just a simple message to reach out to a friend, family member or colleague could impact them positively. Never underestimate the positive impact any act of kindness can have on others. Research suggest that people who are kind and compassionate to others see clear benefits to their own overall wellbeing and happiness.
Be Kind to Number 1
Remember to be kind to yourself also, being kind to yourself and showing self love can boost confidence and general wellbeing. After all if we, ourself are not in the greatest place it can take its toll on us and that's why it's vital to be kind to yourself too. Prioritise some “me” time, so you can relax and reflect on how you’re feeling and how your day or week has been so far and make some time to do some of the things you enjoy doing.
Kindness Can Make a Difference
Be kind to your community. Being kind to your community like volunteering your time – check in with local organisations who may need support during this time. You could even get some shopping for a family member or friend who is feeling down. Kindness is choosing to do something that helps others or yourself, motivated by genuine warm feelings. Kindness, or doing good, often means putting other people’s needs before our own. It could be by giving up our seat on a bus to someone who might need it more, or offering to make a cup of tea for someone at work.
